A supplier
evaluation measures the supplier's technical
capability to ensure the supplier has the
technical manpower, knowledge, technical
facilities and mastery of your technical
documents. You should complete a Supplier
Evaluation when:
- You are negotiating with a new supplier.
- Your Supplier has new facilities, new
investment in an industry, or lacks
experience with a newer technology.
- Your current supplier has acquired new
facilities within China to handle new
products utilizing untried technologies.
Supplier Evaluations minimize manufacturing
problems arising from contracting a supplier
that may be hiding technical weaknesses.
It makes gauging your supplier's capabilities
easier and allows you to devise an action plan
to help overcome technical obstacles. |
