Pre Process
inspection by an ABS Quality Representative is
the selective inspection of the
product/components or subassembly at different
stages of the production line. This is carried
out before a customer's product order has
entered the production assembly line. Pre
Process Inspection is customer mandated and
focuses on specific objectives:
- Find the root causes of production
defects.
- Inspect and detect poor quality linkages
at different production stations.
- Product and component quality inspection
before assembly.
- Identify supplier weaknesses in the
production system that can cause defective
product.
A Pre Process inspection can be initiated by
the customer with the objective of reducing on
going 100% inspection of all production lots. |
